Take your haunt or display to the next level with the new Hi-Rez Designs: Triggering DVD Player. Instead of having a DVD that just loops playback all night long, now with this state-of-the-art DVD Player, you can "trigger" the video playback effect to only happen when you want it to!

This modified DVD player allows you to trigger / activate / play one of our Visual FX DVDs when activated with a pressure / step mat, push button, motion sensor, relay, or supplied remote control.

Almost all off-the-shelf DVD players have an "on screen display" (OSD) that appears on your TV / LCD screen every time the DVD player is activated ... thus ruining the illusion of the video effect being shown. Starting with a very high end / top quality DVD player, Hi-Rez Designs has modified the "on board" software / firmware to NEVER display the on screen when activated or playing, no matter how many times the unit is "triggered" during playback. The on-board software has been optimized for use with all Hi-Rez Designs Visual FX products with "trigger menus".

In addition, Quick-Release Triggering Contacts (dry-contacts) have been added to the back of the DVD Player so you can easily connect whatever you decide to use as a physical trigger (ie: step mat, motion sensor, etc).

The Quick-Release Triggering Contacts will activate the player anytime the two wire terminals are connected. NEVER connect or send any kind of "voltage" to the Quick-Release Trigger Contacts because it will damage the circuitry of the DVD player.

For safety reasons, we opted to use Quick-Release Contacts so if the wires to the DVD Player are ever accidentally yanked or pulled very hard, they will disconnect from the DVD Player without damaging the unit or send the DVD Player flying across the room.

Now you no longer need to "hack" your own DVD remote or modify your existing DVD Player. The Hi-Rez Designs: Triggering DVD Player is the best choice.

As a bonus, this DVD Player can be used as a normal DVD Player when not in use in your haunt. The special player has all the normal features of a standard DVD Player.
