Introducing the IOGeek(tm) - the system that makes quick work of haunt automation. The IOGeek is designed for controlling animatronic pneumatic props and yard haunts with sound from your PC. The entire package consists of a microprocessor based IO board (with solenoid drivers, relays, and switch inputs), the IOGeek control software that communicates with the IO board, the PC speakers, and the GUI designer software used to layout yourhaunt and create a control interface. Up to 5 sounds can be played into your PC speakers at the same time! This combination of hardware and software makes for a very powerful control package that is both flexible and easy to use. With IOGeek, you can operate things manually while you watch, in a fully automated mode using sensors, or as a combination of the two.

Software

The software that is provided with the IOGeek is two programs.
The Graphical user interface is the program that you will use to start sequences, sounds and to review the current status of your display.
The IOGeek software provides the connection between the GUI to the IOGeek hardware. Both programs will start when you run the IOGeek.

Scripting

Scripting is for programming sequences. Scripts are written and then compiled. The script language is simplified from traditional programming so that you do not need to do any of the code setups and intializations, your programming for the most part will related to the setting and reading the IO, combined with timing using a time delay statements.

The program is provided with working samples similar to those shown in the Users Manual. The examples can be modified slightly and used in actual displays.

Graphical User Interface

The Graphical User Interface (GUI) allows you to configure the program to display the status and setup controls for starting sequences in your animatronics, without any "traditional" programming.

Circles, boxes, buttons can be created by a click when in "design" mode. Then a right click accesses the properties sheet for that item (screen object.) The properties allow you to activate sequences or to display status.

An experienced user can setup a basic GUI for a new setup in a matter of minutes.

There is plenty of on-line help in the program to guide you along as you make your screen display.

Music

The IOGeek software allows you to play up to 5 sounds through your PC stereo speakers - independently controlled and simultaneously. In addition the sounds can be controlled from the GUI program or under Script control so that the sounds are coordinated with the motion of the devices connected to the system.
